Mark 3:7–35 Discussion Guide

  • Main Point of the Passage: Jesus established a new family made up of his followers.

Introduce the Passage: Following Jesus in faith makes a person a member of his family. In Mark 3:7–35, Jesus established a new family made up of his followers.

Study Question: For each person or group of people in Mark 3:7–35, let’s answer these questions: Did they believe Jesus was the Son of God? Did they follow him?

Connect-the-Dots Question: Read verses 28–30 again. Of all the reactions to Jesus in this passage, why do you think the scribes’ reaction to Jesus was unforgivable?
